The objective of this meeting was to review the School Education System in the State, various centrally sponsored schemes, area of problem and its implementation and position of school education with regard to its achievements so far.
Education Minister further said that there is need to redesign the education system by recruiting trained teachers while adding that there would be no compromise in recruiting subject teachers. He added that the question paper set for exams in schools may be reviewed and assessed according to the examination point of view.
He suggested the officials to make vocational education a compulsory subject in school routine for overall development of students. He has strongly pointed that education Department being the oldest Department from the time of Gurukul system, should be able to successfully implement any central schemes. Regarding the promotion of teachers, he said that not only seniority but efficiency of an individual will also be considered to promote one to a gazetted post. He assured that transfer and posting problem may be sorted with the combined efforts of the Director as well as the district officials under his captainship. He also referred the support shown by the Chief Minister in the education Department which will further help him in successfully running the Department.
He further committed to look after all the problems and needs of education Department under his best capacity.
The Commissioner Education Hage Khoda highlighted the various centrally sponsored schemes, its functioning’s, problem areas and achievements so far in the School Education Department, students stipend, NCERT text books, CBSE exam on grade system, teacher training and transfer and posting of teachers.

DPS annual sports meet
ITANAGAR, Dec 13: Delhi Public School, Itanagar, a premier educational institute in Arunachal Pradesh, situated in the picturesque location at Jollang celebrated its two day Annual Sports Meet from 10.
Dr R B Tripathy Head of the Department, Political Science of DNGC, who was the chief guest, stressed on the importance of Sports in the school curriculum. He urged parents to support their wards in their endeavours and called upon the students to develop respect towards parents, elders and companions. He also felt that healthy respect towards co players increases the greatness of any sports event.
The first day saw parents participating enthusiastically in the sports event organized for them. The event which made the parents and their ward team up and play together received accolade.
The concluding day was attended by Prof. Amitabh Mitra, Head of Department, Economics, RGU and MLA T. Norbu as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively and gave away trophies and prizes.
Norbu, who is also the Patron in Chief of the School recalled the teaching and training
he received during his student days and felt the discipline and the dedication inculcated
in a student’s life is what builds their better future. He lauded the efforts of
Eastern Education Promotional Society in bringing up such an institution in Itanagar

NERIST seminar on agro forestry for socioeconomic development of NE

Donate land without asking for compensation: Tagar
ITANAGAR Dec 13: All kinds of constructions, including residential, private plantation, private bulldozing etc. have been totally restricted in govt land allotted for infrastructure development of Palin ADC headquarter at Pania. It was resolved in a meeting held recently here attended by local MLA Takam Tagar, Pania ADC Chuku Takar, former Palin MLA Dugi Tajik, ADC development committee president, secretary, panchayat and public leaders. Addressing the meeting, Tagar expressed dissatisfaction over the land allotted for the ADC headquarter which is insufficient to accommodate the necessary infrastructure. He appealed to the land owners to donate land voluntarily without claiming compensation. He further sought cooperation from the local people to speed up infrastructure development activities of the ADC Hqs.

Training on MIS under NREGA conducted by DPC

ITANAGAR, Dec 13: DRDA Lower Dibang Valley on behalf of District Programme Coordinator, Lower Dibang Valley conducted the 2 day functional training programme under Management Information Systems (MIS) under NREGA for all the Programme Officers and officials of the DRDA Lower Dibang Valley here on December 12 and 13 at NIC District Centre here today.
The training programme was conducted with collaborative support for faculty support from SIRD Arunachal Pradesh through Rakesh Srivastava, Assistant Director SIRD and District Informatics Officer – Lower Dibang Valley Y. Linggi. The programme was attended by the Programme Officers, Assistant Project Officers, Accounts Officers, Extension Officers and Computer Operators from CIC and other such contingency technical staff engaged by the District for the purpose of data entry under NREGA – MIS.
The training assumes significance in view of the decision of Ministry of Rural Development
Government of India to link the fund release for wage payment and others with the
updation of NREGA – MIS. In order to update the NREGA-

Coordinator (NREGA) YW Ringu emphasised on the need for ensuring timely complete
updation of the NREGA in respect of Lower Dibang Valley without fail. She gave clear
directions to the participants to ensure that updation of the NREGA-
Rakesh Srivastava, Assistant Director SIRD and the Course Director, speaking on the
occasion clarified the difference between the MPR data updation and the MIS data
updation. He informed that considerable time and effort in initial phase for shifting
to the online/offline MIS was basically an investment of human resources that would
repay itself with uninterrupted fund release from Government of India and facilitate
the district in providing 100 days of wage employment to the registered households
against demand. The fact that in certain districts inability in providing 100 days
of wage employment against demand due to non receipt of fund from Government of India
could be best addressed through MIS updation. Rakesh Srivastava also coordinated
the process of data entry, addressing the online errors and functional issues respective
to the MIS processes and updation of the entered records. The functional programme

How do the wild animals pursue and maintain their relationships? Whether their relationships
are fickle or are there something deeper than what we humans perceive. There are
two kinds of relationships we human maintain with each other at socio-
The various species of animals knew from the experiences of their evolutionary processes this fundamental truth. This is best epitomized by the bees. In a typical bee hive, there is a queen, workers and soldiers. Each bees of the hive is born from the queen and so are closely related to each other. So each individual bee is a potential kamikaze fighter. Try to disturb a hive then you will know their potency. But why the term 'kamikaze', because after biting you that individual bee also dies, that is extend of their allegiance to their relatives.
But why should an individual sacrifice his own life for the others? This is best illustrated in an idiom written in a Second World War cemetery in Kohima where it says' for your tomorrow, we are sacrificing our today "That individual bee is sacrificing his life so that his hives common genes have a chance to survive, if the intruder is driven away. This does not mean that the bees have got intelligences to think about genetic science. That individual bee is genetically so programmed by the nature to drive away the intruder at any cost.
Its time we take charge

I would like to share my view that reflects a change in the thought process of our today’s generation.
We ought to know that in true sense ideas govern the world. I represent myself as one among the proletariats. It is the proletariat who creates a system in which elites & political class develop an adaptation kind to nature. When a true sense of maturity develops among proletariats the whole system would be placed in check. Evidently, history speaks voluminous incident on it.
How sensible are we today against our adversaries? Just a few weeks back our learned friends of DNGC had damaged their own hostels. Have we ever realized of safeguarding our public property and shutting violence which is clearly enshrined in nine points of our fundamental duties? If not, wake up for a change!! Violence is an inescapable peril.
Let us go back little further to our pre-
Some of our friend circle has a covenant to start cultivating habit of learning from our past mistakes. We will not play blame games from now on rather we will stand for the right cause.
We want to see funny state as one of a model states in our generation. “Change is the very word which made America to have their first Black President in all of the history. And we ought not to forget that history repeats in the course of time.”

Some confusion here
Dear Editor,
Through the Readers Forum of your daily, I would like to give my genuine advice to beloved Jumken Lobom to go through the daily carefully, specifically the Readers Forum if he is to say something on it, and don't be a namesake subscriber of the daily and a whirlwind reader.
Here, I would to enlighten Mr. J. Lobom that, in my last "write up" I duly mentioned and agreed to the fact that two copies of recent pass port size photographs, duly self attested, was needed to be submitted along the OMR form. And yes, for his kind information we did the same as rest of the candidates. I also specifically mentioned that the 1735 candidates has been rejected for not self attesting on the pass port size photograph to be pasted on the column 16 of OMR form, for which there was no instruction for self attestation in the OMR form and the instruction provided with it or the advertisement .
So, I genuinely had no idea whether the commission has published two kinds of advertisements or not, because seeing the functioning of the commission for a while, I am compelled to give a brief thought on this. Here, I would like to thank him for his sympathy for the rejected candidates but being a competitive and competent guy, you should go through the others "write up" carefully, so that in future you won't have to waste your precious time in argument which has no logic.
Further, I thank and appreciate him for enlightening us that the commission is under the remote control of some big hands, and further request and encourage him to expose those big hands and be our hero, which is the need of the time.

Freedom of speech?
Dear Editor,
It is pleasure for me to write here regarding the unscrupulous writings that appears regularly in the forms of Readers Forum.
I have gone through the whole episode regarding the 1735 aspirant candidates whose application were rejected. Blunder? Consider my case as a blunder but what about those who are studying outside Arunachal Pradesh as well as those in interior places where there is no communication and transportation. For me, 1735 aspirant candidates are none other than Arunachalees, did they don't have any right to claim their rights?
On the other side, the commission is stable and will be stable forever but they have a soft heart and sympathy that is why they accepted our heartiest request. If you are interested in debate there are other platforms like Kebang. I am ready to represent 1735 aspirant candidates. I accept there is "Freedom of Speech" but why hide and sending the articles!

In nature, the fundamental reason of every individual's existences is to pass on
their genes to next generation and ensure its survivability. The varied and complex
behaviours exhibited by the various species are the manifestation of this fundamental
duty. So we have the cases of infanticides whenever a new male takes over a pride
of lions or a troupe of languors. When a new male lion takes over the pride of lioness
after defeating its existing alpha male, the first thing he does is to kill all infants
born from the earlier male. So that lioness can came in to early estrous and he can
mate to pass on his genes to next generations. And till he is strong enough to defend
his territory and the lioness, he will ensure his offspring's survivability and will
go great extend to defend them-
Most of the primates are polygamous by nature, including Humans, which ensures his genes have the maximum chances of survivability. This does not mean that you go on indulging in polygamous behaviors. Since the humans are living in a society with certain ethics which defines your culture and traditions. And the primates never use the tool of polygamy to enhance its political life as we humans do.
So, is polygamy the way of nature? What about monogamous relationships? Why a human, if are polygamous by nature shows maximum monogamous relationships? What are the benefits for being in monogamous relationships'?
In polygamous animal world of lion's, languor's wild buffalo, deer's etc. only those
individuals are able to maintain harems of females, who very physically fit and are
bold and strong enough to ward off am possible challengers. Such alpha males have
to ensure a habitat of sufficient food, shelter and safety for his young ones. Endeavour
of maintaining such harems takes great toll of energy from such alpha males, so much
so that such males reign does not last very long before a young, strong challenger
over takes his harem. To present such eventually especially in lions it has been
found that to ensure their reign over the harems and to ensure that their genetic
legacy continues, brothers or sometimes even -
Because of such varied challenges in maintaining a polygamous relationships. the evolutionary processes has taught animals like hornbills vulture, sparrow, humans etc the benefits of monogamous relationships. The maintenances of monogamous relationships ensure that off springs from such relationships are of your only. It becomes much easier for the alpha male to provide food, shelter and safety to his off springs which ensures the maximum continuances of his genes. The humans do it by having various rules and regulations in their respective cultures and by enacting laws whereas animals like hornbills, vulture etc are genetically/culturally programmed.
In hornbills to further enhance their monogamous pairing, during breeding season selects a suitable tree hole for the female to lay eggs 'The male with help of his saliva, twigs, leaves, mud etc makes a plaster of wall around the tree hole, such that only the beak of the female can protrude out. This ensures the safely of incubating female and continuances of his genes. Isn't this akin to some of our human cultures where females are not allowed to roam outside their home without a male relative accompanying? The male hornbill collects various food items such as lizards, fruits of various tree species etc for the female and his subsequent chicks. During such sorties, if the male is hunted, the female along with her eggs may eventually die too. Just imagine, the only bread earning member of your family goes to market to buy food for your family and never returns because some people have killed him for his beautiful skin, teeth or hair, so that they can use his skin, teeth or hair on their dresses and home. My dear fellow humans feel and think before you go and hunt a wild animal.
So does this mean animals never cheat in their relationships as we humans do? In animals like primates, an alpha male controls a harem of females. Whereas as rule, females are only supposed to mate with only that alpha male and the alpha male forcefully ensures this dictum. But occasionally it has been noted by numerous primate biologist that this rule is broken by females by mating with other male of the group when the alpha male is not in the vicinity!
But the monogamous animals never break their relationships as we humans do. In animals like vultures, who pair for life, it has been noted that when one of the partner dies, the remaining partner does not bond with any other individual for at least three years. DC calls for proper monitoring
ITANAGAR: 2nd District level Monitoring Committee meeting with all executing agencies, HoDs, Administrative Officers and ZPMs of Kurung Kumey District was held at Koloriang on December 12.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Remo Kamki emphasized to carry out proper monitoring system for effective implementation of schemes to achieve the desired target.
He cautioned that concerned officers would be fined for any lapses on the implementation
part and stressed that DMLC should monitor the work consisting of all HoDS, Administrative

He further urged the Officers to be accountable to the public and render their duty and responsibilities with sincerity and honesty.
ZP Chairperson Pisa Gunia advised all the Officers to attend such meeting with all relevant papers and documents and appealed the DC and DPO to give proper directive and instructions to all concerned officers to redress the grievances and quarries made by the PR members.
He further appealed all to give equal importance to all departments and assured to build infrastructure for recreation centre, particularly for officers in order to minimize the isolation syndrome.
DPO Mangdo Babung appealed to all the executing agencies to provide copy of progress report and utilization certificate to the Deputy Commissioner along with project photographs taken at initial, middle and final stage.
